SCRAN CARTEL

Scran Cartel is the name given to the pairing of MNSR Frites (Granville Sessions/Moose Funk Squad) and Benny Diction (Punning Clan/Corners).

This meeting of minds began with their collaboration ‘Appetisers’, where they first exchanged back to back food raps after discovering their mutual appreciation of the epicurean delights. A few years down the line and the pair are released ‘Blue Plaque Candidates’, a 12-track album dedicated to sweet sustenance and its various forms and facets.

You can secure your own copy of the highly 'Blue Plaque Candidates' vinyl by selecting the £20 ticket option. Listen to the album here:

LOUIS CYPHER

Hot on the heels of his recently-released 'Cypher Sore Eyes' EP (Boom Bap Professionals) and a shutdown launch event in his home town, veteran Nottingham emcee and fellow Punning Clan member Louis will be performing tracks from the project in London for the very first time.

OLIVER SUDDEN

A veteran of the South London hiphop scene, Suddz started rapping at the notorious Deal Real Records cyphers and Speakers Corner open mics, as well as digging for records from all genres, in the many specialist shops around his home town of Croydon.

Since then, he has collaborated with some of the UK’s finest rappers, producers and DJs, working extensively with a number of independent labels, including Revorg Records, Boom Bap Professionals and Starch Music. From 2006 onwards he has released a string of solo mixtapes, albums and EPs and has been playing records out since 2009.

Prior to that he was known for promoting events, starting with Croydon’s original monthly hip hop Jam Bangers that was running from 2006-2011 and more recently, four years of Higher Learning in Deptford and his own vinyl showcase night, Wax On Wav Off.
At this event, the Cronx Don himself will be treating us to both a live PA and all-vinyl DJ set.

Check the 'Ten Year Mixtape' that Revorg recently dropped to celebrate the 16 projects he's put out since 2009:

DOBERMAN

Hailing from the rolling hills of West Yorkshire, Doberman is a Leeds-born writer and hip-hop artist. Combining intricately written rhyme schemes with lyrics that flit from pensive to provocative, he has begun making himself known on London's open mic scene with his blistering performance style.

Doberman has released music both independently and as a featured artist for the Jazz Hop Café, a net-based radio station and record label with over half a million subscribers on YouTube alone.

He released his debut album Tales from t’Dales with fellow Yorkshire emcee Breathless in 2018 to positive underground reception, followed by two singles later that year which received airplay on BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Leeds, Itch FM, Pyro Radio, and coverage in Hip-Hop Canada and Word is Bond magazine.

“Excellent UK hip-hop that needs to be heard” – Alan Raw, BBC Introducing West Yorkshire

“A refreshing and honest example of Northern Hip Hop” – Hip-Hop Kings

“Like a soundclash between Split Prophets and Flame Griller” – UKHH.com
