Join us after hours on Thursday 4 September for ‘Scrap & Stitch’ – an evening of sparking collaboration and conversation at our September session of The Social Studio!
This month’s activity will be ‘Scrap & Stitch’ - an innovative and colourful opportunity to upcycle through the use of second-hand materials. You can experiment with patching, applique, Sashiko and embroidery with a variety of scrap fabric to create a unique item of clothing, whilst celebrating the concept of reusing old materials. We’ll provide fabric, buttons and sewing equipment for you to let your creativity flow.
You don’t need to be a sewing supreme to take part in our session - the aim of the evening is to try something new, relax, meet new people and have sew much fun.
Limited tickets are available to purchase and are priced at £5. We’ll provide all the equipment and encouragement you will need… all you need to bring is yourself! To keep you fueled, Lucie’s Café will be serving hot drinks, soft drinks and snacks during the event.
The Social Studio’s next event will take place on Thursday 4 September, 6:30pm – 8pm, at the Emmaus Mossley Secondhand Superstore, Longlands Mill, Queen Street, Mossley, OL5 9AH. Please note that this event is 18+.
