This is a two-part, one day course: Join Katie to learn and practise the full process of screen exposure and printing. Create your own, two-colour screen printed designs over the course of one day.
AM: process and create designs on to two exposed screens ready to use in the afternoon.
PM: use our screens to create two-colour prints, learning about registration of designs, printing multiple techniques and exploring repeat patterns.
You will come away from the course with a full understanding of the principles of screen printing and knowledge of how to process screens using a UV emulsion and exposure unit. Then you'll be ready to take your printing to the next level!
Participants would be asked to prepare an idea of what they would like to print in advance of the workshop. This course is aimed at those who have done the introductory hand-cut stencil workshop or the screen exposure induction. Not for beginners.
About the Associate Artist leading the session: Katie is a graphic designer and workshop artist, running her own design business alongside delivering art, design and architecture workshops with museums, galleries, schools and festivals across the UK.
