About this event

A workshop for anyone who would like to develop script writing skills or learn to develop more authentic conversations and characters in their writing. You'll be taken through the basics and let in on a few tips and tricks by Glasgow-based screenwriter Raymond Friel.

You'll join members of our creative writing groups at this event.

About Raymond

Raymond Friel is an award-winning screenwriter, author and playwright. He has written three feature films: The Calcium Kid, starring Orlando Bloom (produced by Working Title Films), Botched with Stephen Dorff (Winner of Best Film and Best Actor at the New York Horror Festival) and Moon Dogs (nominated by BAFTA Scotland for Best Film 2016. He has also written a number of plays and written for television.


About Falkirk Library

This event will take place on the top floor of Falkirk Library. The library is accessible and has a lift, but please get in touch if you have any questions.

There is no parking at the library, but there is parking at Garrison place across the road which is free after 5.30pm. The library is a short walk from Falkirk Grahamston train station and from the main bus hub in Falkirk on Newmarket Street.
