Description

Discover Chinese food culture through cinema and TV!

Through food tastings, academic discussion, film screenings and an onsite cooking demonstration by chef Jeremy Pang (School of Wok), we will be exploring Chinese food culture and its relationship with the big and the little screen.

Everyone and people of all ages are welcome to this free event, organised by the University of Southampton's Film Department and sponsored by the Confucius Institute.

11:10 am – 12:00 noon: Films, Culture and Chinese Food: Roundtable Discussion

12:00 noon – 1:00 pm: Lunch – Chinese Cuisine Revisit

(featuring authentic Chinese food supplied by local Chinese restaurants)
