Adult and Young Carers from Kingston-On-Thames have collaborated with arts charity Rosetta Life, to write, perform, record and film a series of original immersive poerty films. These will be screened for the first time on 16th October at The Courtyard, Kingston University, in an immersive dome.
Creative Health charity Rosetta Life's Heart of Care programme connects unpaid carers and care organisations in order collaborate with artists. Together we create public art works and build creative communities that bring greater visibility to the hidden world of unpaid care.
Screening One: A World and More. Welcome from 5pm with a 5.30pm screening.
An original 360 poetry film made by young carers in Kingston-on-Thames, Plymouth and Bloemfontein South Africa. Their shared artwork takes us to their hometowns, across rivers, parks and seas and through doors that open onto life at it's most challenging and through those that reveal a world of possibility ...a world and more.
- Young people from Kingston Carers, Plymouth Young Carers Service and Sunflower Hospice Bloemfontein (SA) have worked together to make this artwork. Kindly supported by Plymouth City Council and The Royal borough of Kingston-On-Thames
- Plymouth based Real ideas CiC have given access to immersive filmaking through their outreach team to support three groups of young people in capturing their ideas in 360.
- ACM Music and Creative Industries University supported the project with access to recording studios and music producers.
