Description

3100: RUN AND BECOME

Sri Chinmoy the Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race (3100 miles equals almost 5000 km) is the longest certified multi-day marathon in the world, held annually for 52 days in New York since 1997. Each participant must travel an average of 95 km per day. Few choose to take on this seemingly insurmountable challenge, much fewer are those who manage to complete it. Here the spirit, matter and psyche compete with each other. During the marathon, participants have many difficulties: overcoming the traumas that are inevitable, the psyche that must be strong, and the spirit that is the most important player and can support the runner by the end of the track.

The producer of "3100: Run and Become", Tanya Ager Meillier, will be present at the screening for a Q&A afterwards. Tanya was born and raised in Manchester before moving to New York. She is thrilled to bring the film back to her home town and is looking forward to discussing the making of the film and any questions you may have.

Doors will be open at 7pm, screening will start at 7.30pm
