About this event
The Garden Cinema is back!!!!!
We are thrilled to screen The Place Without Limits (Spanish: El lugar sin límites, also released as Hell Without Limits) is a 1978 Mexican drama film directed by Arturo Ripstein, produced in Mexico and based on the 1966 novel of the same name written by Chilean José Donoso. The film was selected by Mexico as its entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 51st Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. In July 2018, it was selected to be screened in the Venice Classics section at the 75th Venice International Film Festival.
The screening is for a small group in an open air space with roof protection. Sanitiser will be available at the entrance. Please have a Covid test on the day and bring masks if you wish.
We will be raising funds for Tomasote de Guayana, an agrarian collective in Venezuela and an autistic school outside UK.
The film will have English Subtitles. There will be drinks and snacks for sale on the night.
