Event description

Description

SPEAR (a charity addressing homelessness in SW London) is presenting Daisy May Hudson's first feature documentary ‘Half Way’.

Following a highly successful appearance at SPEAR's 30th Anniversary event, where she participated in a panel discussion alongside Sir Vince Cable, we are delighted that Daisy will be attending giving the audience to ask questions about both homelessness and the filmmaking experience.

‘Half Way’ was shot during the time Daisy and her family were living in a homeless hostel over a year during 2013. A deeply moving and, at times, heart-warmingly humorous film, ‘Half Way’ has received widespread critical acclaim since its release in 2015 and has recently been nominated for a Grierson Trust award in the 'best cinema documentary' category.

Doors open at 6.30pm~ Screening begins at 7.30pm. Film running time is 93 minutes.

Hot meals and snacks and soft drinks will be available alongside to purchase, and enjoy complementary Ben & Jerry’s ice cream with the film.

Don’t miss out on the raffle with prizes such as tickets for BFI, a family ticket to the London Film Museum, and lunch for 2 at The Lounge at Twickenham Studios.
