Screening of Listeners Project's short films @ Pop Brixton
Thu 3 November 2016, 19:00 – 21:00 GMT
6 Buildings - 6 Directors - 6 Short Films
The Print Union's Phil Fisk hosts an evening with Ben Lambert and Natasha Coleman from The Listeners Project.
The Listeners Project invite film makers into London buildings due for demolition or development, and ask them to create films that acknowledge the space and take a ‘pause’ before the walls change forever.
Film Directors are given a different room at random and their cast and crew are asked to create a story within that space (and only that space) in 24 hours.
This selection of films chosen by Phil Fisk showcases all 6 buildings the Listeners Project have filmed in so far and includes BBC's Television Centre, a Mannequin Factory and an abandoned Hotel. To see the 6 films and to hear from the directors, actors, producers, and writers who made each project possible come along to this free screening at POP.
POP Brixton's is a venue created almost entirely with shippining containers. It is home to start ups, workspaces and artists as well as some delicious local food and drinks entrepreneurs, check out their food and drink options here.
The event is free but ticketed and space is limited so book here now.
