Scotland has a problem with drug addiction. How did we get here? And how do we help? And what does the government need to do to help?
These are the questions explored in this gripping new documentary film, made by two men who have themselves walked the addiction journey. Jordan Robertson and Sean Toal want to help the public understand the personal struggles, the childhood trauma, the cultural history and the government policies that all intersect to blind us to the solutions that could stop this scourge.
The film interviews some of the voices that have been loudest in Scotland when it comes to campaigning for change. These include James Docherty, Anne Marie Ward and Natalie Logan, alongside many others. Their insights help viewers to see new pathways to change.
The community at St Pauls Dundee sits right in the middle of the city of Dundee. They are actively engaged in public outreach, keen to contribute to solutions to the problems the city faces. Hosting this screening is one more way to do that.
The evening includes a Question & Answer Session with the two filmmakers and others, chaired by ACEs activist Dr Suzanne Zeedyk.
Registering on this Eventbrite page reserves you a space at the screening. On the night, we will ask you to make a £5.00 donation to cover the costs associated with the event.
We welcome everyone for a night that promises lots of conversation and connection.
