A night with a fascinating Argentinian film, cocktails and snacks presented by film critic and Pablo Neruda's biographer Adam Feinstein.

About this event

Valentín is a 2002 Argentine-French-Italian drama film written and directed by Alejandro Agresti. The film features Rodrigo Noya as Valentín and Carmen Maura as the grandmother. Director Alejandro Agresti also stars as Valentín's father.[1]

The story revolves around the world of an eight-year-old boy, Valentín (Noya), who dreams of one day becoming an astronaut. While caught in the middle of his family, he attempts to better the bewildering world around him.

The screening is for a small group in an open air space with roof protection. Sanitiser will be available at the entrance. Please have a Covid test on the day and bring masks if you wish.

We will be raising funds for Tomasote de Guayana, an agrarian collective in Venezuela and an autistic school outside UK.

The film will have English Subtitles. There will be drinks and snacks for sale on the night.
