Screenprint Your Own Kit

Ever wanted to customise your very own football kit? Well now you can! Screenprint your chosen design onto a blank shirt with bold and vibrant colours to make a one-of-a-kind fashion statement. Once dry, let your creativity off the leash by customising the shirts with pens and paints. Whether you add your name, favourite team logo, or expressive flourishes – you’ll be able to wear your creativity and love of football on your sleeve!

This event is suitable for children aged between 6 – 15 years old, and will be facilitated by Slugtown.

This workshop is held at The NewBridge Project Print Studio. It will be faciliated by Slugtown and The NewBridge Project Print Studio.

⚽ What you’ll do

Learn the basics of screen printing with professional screen printers
Print designs on to blank football shirts
Customise football shirts with fabric paints.

🎯 What you need to know (Parent & Guardian Info)

Ages: This workshop is suitable for children aged between 6 – 15 years old.
All materials included: we will provide all the materials for this workshop, included the shirts, inks and paints
Wear old clothes: we do still recommend that children wear some old clothes you don’t mind getting messy!

We want everyone to have a safe, fun and happy time at our workshop.

Safe supervision: our workshops are run by DBS-checked facilitators who have many years of experience running projects with children.
Small groups: workshops will be undertaken in small groups to ensure attention and support.
Safety first: we will always run through a fun and easy safety talk before the workshop.

This workshop is part of The Beautiful Game, a series of free workshops for young people in Shieldfield, exploring the connection between football and art! The project includes daily workshops across 2 weeks, hosted at local Shieldfield organisations. The week will culminate with an all-abilities table football tournament at Slugtown.

The Beautiful Game has been produced by Slugtown, a not-for-profit art gallery in Shieldfield, Newcastle upon Tyne.
