This training workshop is aimed at introducing you to the in-demand role of TV Drama Script Supervisor. It is part-funded by the HETV Levy Fund and is part of our ongoing commitment to helping fill skills shirtages in the TV Drama industry.
It is designed to help you understand the job and the skills needed to step up into this demanding role.
The workshop is set at an introductory level. You will discover whether you are suited for, and would enjoy the challenges associated with, Script Supervision on Television Drama productions.
This course is lead by CARYN LANGRICK who has worked as a Script Supervisor/Continuity on BBC Drama Series like Casualty, Eastenders, Lovejoy, Inspector Alleyn, Riff Raff Element and Between the Lines.
She transferred to BBC Training as a Senior Course Producer. In this role she ran a portfolio of PA/PC courses, including specialist sessions in Drama Continuity and Drama/Doc Continuity.
She also initiated and designed Introduction and Advanced Script Editing courses. She now works as a Freelance Script Supervisor on highly successful shows like Holby City and Casualty.
The session will also feature a guest script supervisor currently working in film and television drama.

WORKING ON HIGH END DRAMA PRODUCTIONS
An interactive talk from a Script Supervisor working on a current production.
EYE LINE EXERCISE
A thorough look at this somewhat confusing area with practical exercise and clips.
Please note: Students will be given a small amount of homework to do!
DAY TWO 1000 - 1730
REVIEW OF HOMEWORK
- Continuity with 2 actors, director and cameraman
- Logging continuity & producing tramlined script and edit notes

RECAP ON PRACTICAL EXERCISE
