We will be working for the first time at Christmas Gorse a private area of woodland pasture with a public footpath going through it, so you can visit in the summer to see the butterflies in action.

NEED A LIFT FROM OUR DEPOT IN HIGH WYCOMBE? We will take EVIE. our electric MPV to give a lift for volunteers from High Wycombe. Please text Paul to book a lift and come to the depot at 8:50.

COMING DIRECT? The post code gets you close. If you are coming from Whitchurch you will be on the A413, take a sharp left signposted Swan’s Way off Bennett’s Hill a few hundred yards after Oakham farm on your left.

Continue along the lane, you will pass Holcombe Cottages, there is space for approx 6 vehicles on the bend just past Holcombe Cottages on your left. If this area is full there , continue along the lane and we will open up parking along a track on the left handside.

The Task:

We will be cutting wide paths and scallops through sections of overly old blackthorn.

What to Bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task - long trousers and sleeves are advisable as there is thorny vegetation. Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids!

We will be bring a tea kits and biscuits!

Hand washing facilities will be available.

Volunteering and COVID:

Please do not attend sessions if you have tested positive for COVID or if you have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell.
