Join BG Sculpture Studio for an immersive evening of clay modelling designed to spark creativity, build foundational skills, and connect through the timeless art of sculpture.
Led by artist-educator Beate, this drop-in workshop welcomes adult learners, art students, and curious beginners to explore classical techniques in a supportive, hands-on environment. Inspired by the legacy of Michelangelo, Bernini, and Rodin, participants will learn to observe, measure, and model three-dimensional form using accessible materials and guided instruction.
What You’ll Do:
• Discover classical sculptors’ methods through warm-up observation and discussion
• Learn to measure and transfer proportions in 3D using sculptural references
• Begin clay application
• Explore modelling techniques: blocking forms, layering detail, working in planes
• Learn safety basics
• Share your experience and sculptural outcomes with the group
