SE Cambs Labour Women's get-together
Date and time
Location
Tillage Hall
Waterbeach Cambridge CB25 6NJ United KingdomDescription
The first get-together of South East Cambridgeshire Labour Women.
We will have a speaker talking about their experience of women and the Labour party and a short discussion about the best use of social media . The rest of the time will be hearing from you -particularly what barriers there for women getting more involved in the party.
The event is free but if you can make a donation on the day to help cover the cost that would be great .
There will be free tea and coffee – if you would like to bring a cake or biscuits to share or BYO prosecco they would be very welcome!
There is also an option to do some canvassing beforehand with our lovely candidate (Gareth Wright) for Cambridgeshire County Council in Waterbeach and Milton 1pm. Where to meet will be confirmed nearer the time.
Please note the venue can be a bit difficult to find so do allow plenty of time.
If anyone is bringing children there is a very nice play park and skate park next to the venue. I can also sort some toys etc for younger ones.
FAQs
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Tillage Hall is on the recreation ground in Waterbeach, between the 'Beach Social Club' and the bus shelter. If you're coming from the A10, from Cambridge, take the first turning right to Waterbeach (signposted to the station) just before 'Bollywood Spice.' Tillage Hall is on the right, just after the bus shelter (signposted to the rec) There is plenty of parking.
From the Fen Ditton/Horningsea/Clayhithe road; as you come into Waterbeach, drive past the railway station and the church, stay on the same road, with the green on your right, the Sun pub on your left and follow the road up past the Beach Social Club on your left. Just after this, turn left (just before the bus shelter) into Tillage Hall car park. - Map http://goo.gl/maps/06aOI
The number 9 runs from Ely, Milton and Milton Rd etc https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/site/custom_scripts/bus_timetable_directory_record.aspx?R=CB%20%209
The station is about 15 mintues walk away - you can turn left into the rec from Station Rd at Chapel Close - just after the Salvation Army. The hall is on the other side of the rec behind the skate park and tennis courts.
It is also possible to cycle through Milton and on a path by the side of the A10.
