"City’s nervous. On edge. Getting red. Getting redder. Getting hot."
London, 2016. The haves and the have-nots. The outcasts and the insiders. The young and the bored. The Young Vic’s Young Ambassadors present an evening of monologues rooted in the city we call home. In this promenade production, the audience are left to walk freely around the space and fall into the lives of Londoners we often try to avoid, or often come to forget.
A city receptionist on the verge of collapse. A playwright on the verge of a play. An old woman on the verge of insanity. And underneath the city, a creature sits, waits, and listens.
‘SE1’ is produced by a team of young writers and directors from across London and is kindly supported by the Young Vic Theatre. The performance will take place at 7.30pm on 14th October at Platform, a studio on The Cut and just around the corner from the Young Vic. Tickets are free but limited.
