Event description
Join us to find out the latest from EU project, SEAFUEL - sustainable integration of renewable fuels in local transportation.

About this Event

The SEAFUEL project is focussed on enhancing green growth, blue economy, and paving the grounds for common renewable energy policies to promote clean and sustainable transport systems. Isolated areas, such as islands, face the specific challenge of high electricity and fuel costs, and depend on mainland infrastructures.

SEAFUEL is investigating the feasibility of using hydrogen to store excess energy captured from renewable installations, which can then be used to power vehicles and develop a new hydrogen economy. SEAFUEL will develop resources based upon experience with the project’s pilot plant, and will help others in similar situations to develop projects in the future - based upon the SEAFUEL template.

This meeting will bring together various speakers who are working in the hydrogen sector to showcase some of the work that is ongoing, both in the SEAFUEL project, and in the wider hydrogen sphere, allowing for the sharing of ideas and development of potential future partnerships. It will conclude with an interactive workshop, which will allow those who have an interest in the sector to feedback to the project partners and help shape the upcoming outputs of the project.
