About this event

Charity & Causes • Environment

This activity involves using our mud shoes and bodyboards to venture out onto the mud around Fowey habour to injection plant the seagrass seeds we have collected from Torpoint. We will take mud from the shore to make a mud/seed mix which will then be used to fill the injector guns. We will then inject this mix into the ground within a pre-determined area of the mudflat using quadrats to make sure the injections are equally spaced.

For this activity, you will need wellies, a waterproof coat, and waterproof trousers. These will get very muddy, so please only wear clothing you are happy to get dirty! Please also bring plenty of warm clothing, a hot drink, and some lunch!

Parking on site is limited, so we will meet at the closest car park and car pool from there. Alternatively, we will be driving to the site from our office in Allet, if you would like to join us in the work van either from the office or somewhere along our route, please use the contact details below.

For any questions or enquires, please contact Nia at nia.clarke@cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk or 07973 400183

If you book a ticket and can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket for others to have the opportunity to join is instead. Thanks!
