The Heritage Science Big Problem Party

This free event (part of the SEAHA Conference 2022) provides an opportunity for Heritage Science PhD students and early career researchers in this field to meet with each other to discuss problems, find solutions, and discover potential new collaborators.

Join us to present, in only 5 minutes and one slide or less, a big problem in Heritage Science. Are you stuck with your research? Have you found a question that no one can answer? Is your thesis so complicated that you need a whole village to finish it? Has your work taken you to the frontiers of knowledge, and you have seen the monsters that lurk beyond? What should heritage scientists of the future be paying attention to? This fun and inclusive event will have two halves:

First, quick problem presentations.
Second, time for networking, with drinks and food, to discuss the problems, find solutions, and discover new collaborators.

There will be prizes to the best (or shall we say worst?) problems. In addition, the two top problems will get the opportunity to give a more detailed, 15 minute presentation at the SEAHA conference. Being considered for a full talk is opt-in, you can come to the event just to present your 5 minute problem, or even better, just come along and enjoy this social event.

Closer to the date, you will receive a follow up email requesting more information on the problem you would like to present.

The event will be held in a London pub close to UCL and there will be food and drink available.

Please note: Attendance is limited to PhD students, postdocs and other emerging professionals at a comparable stage in their career in the field of Heritage Science. Due to limited capacity, priority will be given to PhD students.
