SEAN STREET - CAMERA OBSCURA: POETRY, RADIO & PHOTOGRAPHY
Event Information
Description
Part of Open Eye Gallery’s Writing and Photography Series, programmed by our writer-in-residence Pauline Rowe (Centre for New and International Writing).
Poet and radio broadcaster Seán Street has published nine full collections and two pamphlets of poems. He also works in radio documentaries and features, and has written a number of prose works on the aesthetics of sound, the most recent being Sound Poetics: Interaction and Personal Identity (Palgrave, 2017). He’ll be talking about the relationship between his poetry and the sonic world, and how both relate to photography, playing some favourite sounds and reading from his recent collections, Talk, Radio and Camera Obscura.
