Event description

Description

"Seanchas with Step Wee Ceilidh" is a community storytelling project part funded by the Bòrd na Gaidhlig.

Our aim is to bring Gaelic communities of Glasgow together and provide a platform for families to use and enjoy Gaelic together.

Join us in meeting the characters of The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson in a fun-filled hour of Gaelic immersed storytelling and ceilidh dance!

Lindsey from Step Wee Ceilidh is going to take us on a journey through the wood with Mouse to meet Fox, Owl and Snake! And maybe stumble across a terrible beast!

Our adventure will be active, bouncy and fun! Ideally suited for children aged 3-6 years (although I guarantee slightly older kids will love it too!)

Best of all, it will all be told through the medium of Scottish Gaelic and ideal for children, and their carers, to practice their language in a community setting!

Places are limited to 20 children per session.

ENTRY by Tickets per child only.

Carers are to stay with their child and enjoy the fun!

Children are to wear comfortable clothing / footwear suitable for Ceilidh dancing and to bring something to drink.

Don't stress if places go - if there's demand, we may be able to accommodate a second session and there are new storytelling journeys planned for 2018!

[This is a community project and we give thanks to the Bòrd na Gaidhlig, Step Wee Ceilidh, Babes in the Wood Shop & Community Room, and Alexis Miller Ltd for their support]
