Event description

Description

A unique recital about our relationship with the sea, and about the ocean's influence on our weather and climate. Music by Ireland, Chausson, Elgar, Duparc, Rossini, Porter and Gershwin illustrates our emotional and artistic relationship with the seas, and will be performed by Pierrette Thomet, mezzo, and Prof Brian Golding, piano. The musical programme is complemented by a series of narratives on the relationship between weather and the oceans, presented by Prof Paul Hardaker, Chief Executive of the Institute of Physics.

Tickets are available via Eventbrite, from Paragon Books, High Street, Sidmouth and at the door on the night (cash only).
This event is organised in conjunction with Sidmouth Science Festival.
