The walks will be guided by a National Trust ranger who will explain the history, wildlife and habitats of this exceptionally beautiful area. After a scenic stroll around the headland soaking up the fresh sea breeze we will head back over to the beach at Mother Ivey’s Bay for a paid BBQ on the beach and sandcastle competition; get your buckets and spades at the ready!

With a short walk (approx 40 mins) and longer walk (approx 1hour 30 minutes) there is something for all ages and abilities.

Both walks will proceed at a gentle pace with frequent stops.

Refreshments will be available to purchase at the start from Wadebridge Foodbank. Plus all walkers are invited to stay for a BBQ on the beach where walkers can purchase locally sourced produce at Mother Ivey's Bay from around 4pm.

TIMINGS: 1pm for a 2pm start (start times may be staggered depending on numbers)

PARKING: Ample free parking is available onsite at Mother Ivey's Bay Holiday Park.

Seaside Walk Week, organised by the Family Holiday Association, is a week of events celebrating the wonders of the British seaside, paying tribute to the magic of family holidays by the sea and encouraging the nation to explore the Great British coastline with family and friends.

It is entirely fitting that our finale takes place at the award-winning Mother Ivey's Bay Holiday Park. We both believe passionately that holidays are not just fun but a necessity. Through the park’s One for All initiative, they provide free holidays to people who would otherwise be unable to have one - including for our families - providing welcome respite from daily hardship, a new sense of optimism and hope for the future.

All income from walker registration will be split between the Family Holiday Association and the National Trust.
