Seaweed Pressing Workshop, Loveday Distillery, Falmouth
Join us to learn the craft of seaweed pressing - a Victorian practice that captures the underwater beauty of seaweeds. We are excited to be running this one off event at the beautiful spacious distillery, the bar will be open for you to purchase any of the delicous drinks Loveday creates.
During the workshop you will learn to recognise, identify and forage local seaweed species. The cultural history of seaweeds will be discussed, as well it’s culinary, therapeutic and ecological uses.
We will prepare a seaweed taster which showcases one of our favourite recipes.

Loveday is the work of old friends more than a little bit obsessed with flavour. They make sustainable spirits using fresh and foraged ingredients with enjoyment in mind.
Location : You will be the first group to be hosted in our new studio new in CAST . Our studio is number 14; we will be waiting to meet you downstairs by the entrance to the cafe to direct you to the studio.

First left after you’ve turned into Tregoniggie Industrial Estate. Park in the little car park behind the Old Foundry coffee hut. We are at the end of the loading ramp that runs along the right of the big building in front of you.
