We are proud to announce a one day workshop with Sebern Fisher in Stockholm.

Don't miss this opportunity to listen to one of the world's foremost trauma experts who breaks new ground when it comes to understanding how unprotected and vulnerable the brain is in Developmental Trauma Disorder.

The workshop will focus on Calming the Fear-Driven Brain: The Integration of neurofeedback and psychotherapy in the treatment of developmental trauma

Programme

08:15 - 09:00: Breakfast and registration

09:00 - 10:00: The impact of abuse and neglect in childhood on the developing brain.

Learning objective: Participant will be able to describe the areas of the brain most impacted by developmental trauma.

10:00 - 12:15: A discussion of dissociation, repression and even regression as learned patterns in the brain and the implications for treatment of developmental trauma.

Learning objectives: Participant will be able to describe circuits in the brain that develop in response to unrelenting threat. Participant will be able to discuss how circuitry patterns in the brain give rise to states of dissociation and other distortions in the sense of self and other.

12:15 - 13:30: Lunch

13:30 - 14:45: Overview of the science of neurofeedback (Video)

Learning objective: Participant will be able to describe the basic principles underlying neurofeedback

14:45 - 15:15: Coffee break

15:15 - 17:00: The arousal model of neurofeedback and its importance in the treatment of developmental trauma

Learning objective: Participant will be able to discuss the relationship of high arousal in the nervous system to uncontrollable affect and behavior in those who have suffered these histories
