Welcome to the Second Potters Open Day 2025 - 50th Anniversary - IN PERSON!
Join us for a full day of creative collaboration with talks, discussions, and demonstrations in poetry, sculpture, and pottery. Artists share their journeys from inspiration to realisation. Meet the makers, buy their work, visit the Bluematchbox Potters Supplies pop-up shop, and enter our fabulous raffle.
Whether you're a seasoned potter or a complete beginner, this event is perfect for all skill levels. Immerse yourself in the world of ceramics as you watch and listen to these amazing artists.

10.30 Who Am I: The presenters introduce themselves and their own creative process to the audience, in a manner of their choosing. 3 0 mins each.
11.00 refreshment break
11.30 Who Am I: continued.
12.30 Lunch and raffle.
13.30 Not Knowing: A discussion. All three artists and Interviewer: ‘Not Knowing’ can be a valuable state, allowing for openness to new possibilities, questioning assumptions, and embracing the unknown. The presenters discuss their influences and inspiration. Interviewer: Charlotte Anstey.
14.30 Sculpting and Words. A collaboration. The focus for this event is a collaboration of creative people, from different areas of life, using different practical processes, but coming together in creative thinking and discussion towards a final piece in clay and words.

FOOD - the onsite Cafe, Fade to Black, will be open for hot and cold drinks and cake/snacks. They are also offering a lunch platter which is PRE ORDER ONLY. There is a meat and vegan option. You will find this once you press to purchase a ticket, the screen will show this as an add-on.
You are of course welcome to bring your own packed lunch and there will be some seating available.
PARKING: Free parking available,. If the onsite car park is full when you arrive please park on the local streets - bearing in mind it is a residential area.
Blue Matchbox will be displaying and selling pottery supplies throughout the morning and at lunchtime in the building. Blue Matchbox are once again offering the option for attendees to pre-order with free delivery via their website. Simply choose ‘click and collect’ when ordering, add a note saying ‘FOR DCPG OPEN DAY’ and collect your purchases on arrival: Bluematchbox Potters Supplies.
