About this event
Professional Community Lead for Senior Curriculum Leaders in School.
This new Professional Community (which launched in Autumn 2023) is focused on ‘Curriculum, Assessment and Data’ and provides input and support for those senior leaders with responsibilities for one of more of these areas within their school setting. The Professional Community brings together colleagues from schools across Devon, Somerset, Plymouth, Torbay, and the wider region to network, connect with leading practice, hear from expert speakers, and provide mutual support. Visit HERE to find out more about Professional Communities.
Our aim is to provide a termly professional community meeting. Agendas for the meetings are based on feedback from members of the community about the areas they would most like to hear about, and therefore focus on themes that are directly relevant to them. There is a heavy emphasis on sharing ideas, practice and strategies that are having the real impact in schools today.
Professional Community Lead
Alan was until very recently the Headteacher of Uffculme School; consistently one of the highest performing comprehensive schools in the South West region. He has a strong track record in curriculum and assessment having previously served for several years as a senior leader with oversight of these areas. He is now the Director of School Performance for the Blackdown Education Partnership, a MAT with schools in Devon and Somerset, with responsibility not only for curriculum, assessment and data analytics, but he also leads the Trust’s drive to improve the outcomes for disadvantaged and vulnerable students.
