Secondary Understanding the Theology CPD Package

Overall Aim:

To induct and support new secondary RE teachers in Catholic schools by equipping them with theological understanding, curriculum expectations, and practical classroom strategies aligned with the RED and Catholic education principles.

Online Courses (6 Sessions)

Aim:To develop teachers’ understanding of the theology in Year 9 Branches 1–6 and provide practical support for effective teaching.

Content:

1. Clear and engaging explanations of the theology in each Year 9 Branch (1–6).
2. Opportunities to ask questions to deepen understanding of theological content.
3. Practical teaching suggestions and classroom strategies for each branch.
4. Sharing of supporting resources for long-term use and reference.
