Event description

Description

Have you ever watched a flash mob online and thought ‘I could do that!’

Well, now is your opportunity!

The Yunus Centre for Social Business and Health is organising a dancing flash mob event to engage people with the issue of solidarity towards migrants, refugees and asylum-seekers. The event, taking place in mid-June, will also be a showcase for some of the findings from two large collaborative and multidisciplinary research projects (www.transsol.eu and www.sirius-project.eu) that reveal how claims and discourses about European solidarity towards migrants, refugees and asylum seekers are related to debates about European identities and cultures.

Do you want to know more and give it a try?

We’ll be sharing more information about the flash mob and organising a rehearsal with our wonderful choreographer Marion from Dance Glasgow on 2nd June 2018. If you are interested in attending please register using Eventbrite.

Participants under the age of 16 years of age are welcome to attend but must have under parental supervision at all times. Photographs will be taken throughout the rehearsal to be used to raise awareness of the research on issues of migration and asylum being undertaken at Glasgow Caledonian University.
