As part of the 2025 Heritage Open Days Festival English Heritage are offering free guide tours of Buildwas Abbey on Sunday 14 and Saturday 20 September 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Situated in a stunning wooded Severn-side setting, our expert tour guide volunteers will take you on a fascinating journey around the impressive ruins of this Cistercian abbey, including its unusually unaltered 12th century church, beautiful vaulted and tile-floored chapter house.
After your tour why not visit our cosy second hand bookshop or enjoy a picnic in the grounds. Dogs are welcome on leads.There is a charge for parking for non-members
