Overview
The ISC2 Thames Valley chapter welcomes all members and non-members to attend its next HYBRID event on Thursday, November 27th, 2025 starting at 6:30pm GMT and finishing at 9:00pm GMT. The site is the Pub & Pizza Restaurant Thirsty Bear in Reading (110 Kings Rd, Reading RG1 3BY). We will start serving food and drinks at 6:30pm whereas the guest speakers will start their presentations at 6:50pm (Gabor Javorszky time slot: 6:50-7:50pm / Gary Cox time slot: 8:00-9pm)
IMPORTANT: the ISC2 Thames Valley chapter will cover the expenses of almost 2 slices of 20 inches pizza + 1 drink only for the first 30 members that are also active, i.e. they paid their annual fee. The pub has a capacity up to 45 sitting people, so it means that the remaining 15 people will pay their own orders. The e-tickets will be sold with the First In First Served strategy. If you want to eat and drink extra then you will cover your own expenses.

Gabor Javorszky - Speaker Bio:
Senior Engineer, Software for F5 Networks. – F5 is a multinational enterprise delivering network and application security products across the globe. “We secure every app”
Gabor Javorszky has been with F5 since July 2023, and has been working on NGINX Unit since October 2023. Previously at a Canadian startup, Suborbital, he was working on delivering WebAssembly capabilities for companies allowing them to extend their services with user-supplied functionality. He’s bringing that experience to F5, and is currently working on enabling NGINX Unit to run WebAssembly components natively.
Originally born in Hungary, Gabor moved to the UK in 2010 where he’s been with a number of digital agencies and worked for various e-commerce companies in the UK and the US.
Outside of work Gabor is an avid motorcyclist, traveller, amateur woodworker, and data protection advocate.

Gary Cox - Speaker Bio:
Currently Technical Director for UK and Ireland, Gary joined Infoblox in 2010 and has held a variety of roles over the years. He often speaks at industry events and on webinars and has over 20 years of IT experience working across multiple verticals including finance, public sector, media and service providers. Gary is an active member of ISC2 and held a CISSP since 2016.

You are welcome to join even if you are not a member of the Thames Valley chapter. If you have an ISC2 valid membership you can receive the relevant CPE tokens if you have attended the whole session. You will be asked for your ISC2 membership number during registration. If you are unable to attend, please make sure to cancel your ticket 2 business days before the event, so that we can reallocate your ticket to another member of the community.
