Event description

Description

Annual Conference 2017 - The Labour Party

Join Chi Onwurah MP, Shadow Minister for Industrial Strategy, and Meg Hillier MP, Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, to discuss the prime importance of bolstering cyber security through the upskilling and training of local workforces in a rapidly changing and increasingly technologically dependent world of work. Readying the population and creating a cyber-aware workforce is key to promoting a sound cyber strategy, ensuring future growth, strengthening confidence in business, and protecting both public and private sector institutions. Our panel discussion will focus on the necessity of a growth plan that posits increased vigilance, improved training and investment in cyber security infrastructure as essential requirements of a modern, high-tech, advanced economy.

Speakers:

Meg Hillier MP - Chair Public Accounts Committee

Chi Onwurah MP - Shadow Minister for Industrial Strategy

Jonathan Bathurst - Head of Business Development & Strategy, Cyber and Intelligence, Raytheon UK
