Event description

Description

SEDA and Glasgow City Heritage Trust invite you to meet and hear from Councillor Anna Richardson, about how she has been heading up Glasgow City Council’s Sustainability Agenda since last year’s elections. This is your chance to find out about how sustainability fits into the Council’s plans: what is happening in relation to environmental protection and pollution, transport and carbon reduction.

Key projects include:
South City Way cycle route
City Centre Low Emission Zone
New bridge at Polmadie
Plastics reduction in Council facilities

As always, there will be an opportunity to ask Anna questions directly, to chat with her and other members afterwards, and let her and others know your thoughts.

Tickets: £3 for SEDA Members / GCHT Friends
£5 General

Light refreshments will be served as a part of the evening, we hope you can join us for some lively and relaxed debate, hosted by GHT in their meeting room on Bell Street.

Councillor Anna Richardson (SNP) has been Councillor for Langside since 2015 and has been heading Sustainability Policy since last May’s elections. Since taking on this position she has been involved with working on, amongst other projects, a proposal for a Low Emissions Zone in the Merchant City, and the ongoing active travel corridor from Queens Park to the City Centre. She is also a sits on the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, and the Glasgow Allotments Forum.
