About Sally Preston
Sally Preston is the founder and managing director of the snack food company Kiddylicious. A true entrepreneur, Sally created the first frozen baby food range Babylicious, when as a mum she noticed a gap in the market. When the business struggled with the operational complexities of freezers in baby aisles, Sally reinvented the business and launched the snack food company Kiddylicious in 2009.
Sally has used her 11 years’ experience as a food scientist at M&S to build the Kiddylicious brand. She is continually innovative and always one step ahead of the competition. Kiddylicious was the first to launch fruit snacks for babies and then proving to be a true disruptor brand, Kiddylicious created the Wafers to rival Heinz Rusks. Wafers have totally revolutionized the rusk category and led to huge growth as Kiddylicious overtook Heinz in July 2016, taking no.2 spot in infant snacking.
Sally is an influential woman in a male-dominated retail industry and has a clear vision for the brand. She has impacted the organisation by her truly personal approach and has built a cohesive team of professionals each with complementary skills. As a working mother she appreciates and operates a `task not time ́ culture allowing parents flexibility. She takes a calculated approach to risk in business; not afraid to challenge the status quo and to deliver genuine innovation at a rapid speed, without compromise.
Her vision for Kiddylicious is to be the `go-to ́ brand of choice for parents with young kids - the trusted, best value & `recommended by mums ́ brand.
The influence of her snacks now extend beyond the UK and are sold in 20 countries worldwide including China, Australia and the Middle East.
