More about the parties involved in the day:

Stretham & Wilburton CLT, Manor Farm – Manor Farm is a 75 home development in the village of Stretham, which includes 23 CLT-owned homes, premises for a new GP surgery, flexible workspaces and a new village green. The first phase of the project is already complete with 8 CLT properties now occupied by a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership tenants.

Thrift CLT for Soham, The Shade – Thrift CLT are an urban CLT in the town of Soham, currently working on a 13 home scheme. The CLT will take ownership of eight properties: six one-bed flats which will be available at an affordable rent and two houses available for shared ownership. They are excited to provide much needed smaller homes at affordable rents.

Haddenham CLT, West End – as a rural village close to both Cambridge and Ely, house prices in Haddenham are out of reach of many local people on local wages. Haddenham CLT are hoping to address some of this need with their 54 home scheme at West End. The project has been shaped in conjunction with the whole community and the CLT will take ownership of 19 affordable homes.

East Cambridgeshire District Council - the Council is very supportive of community-led development and has provided start-up grants and specialist advice via CLT East for prospective CLTs since 2013. A supplementary planning document (SPD) was adopted in Feb 2017 to encourage community-led projects together with expansive guidance notes and a free pre-application planning meeting to discuss land opportunities. There are
now 10 CLTs in the district.

CLT East - CLT East, part of East Cambs. Trading Co Ltd are the local experts on community-led housing in the East of England, offering specialist support and technical advice to groups throughout the duration of their development journey.
