Description

Best practice for working with learning disabled and/or autistic performers

Join us for an evening of discussion and networking, exploring and celebrating the work of learning disabled and/or autistic on-screen talent.

Chaired by Dr. Sylvan Baker from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, the panel will include Ramy El-Bergamy (On Screen Diversity Executive, Channel 4), Sarah Hughes (Casting Director), Alison Walsh (Pan-BBC Disability Lead), Claire Whalley (Executive Director, What Larks!), alongside Cian Binchy, Jules Robertson and Nick Llewellyn from Access All Areas.

The evening will also see the launch of an exciting industry-first partnership between Access All Areas and talent agency Simon & How, representing seven talented learning disabled and/or autistic performers for stage and screen.

Access All Areas is a theatre company of learning disabled and autistic artists.

Channel 4 is proud to support and host this event as part of its ongoing commitment to increasing on-screen disabled talent
