We will be hosting a mini Science Festival beneath the SUN. Families and children are welcome!
About this event
SUN is a touring light artwork, a 7m floating representation of our closest star. Through augmented reality, an interactive exhibition, music and audio clips come and explore the sun like never before.
On Wednesday 13 July we will be hosting a mini Science Festival. The festival is running from 4pm - 8pm the Warwick Arts Centre and is free to attend. Families and children are welcome!
Attractions
We're going to have a range of fun activities for kids and curious adults. We'll be featuring:
- Tactile Universe
- Experimenting with exoplanets
- SUN
- Creativity with solar physics (including SunSpaceArt)
- Solar observing experiences
- Coding with Sophie
- Embroidering solar quakes
- A visit to the Warwick planetarium
And while you’re marvelling, learn loads of interesting things about the sun with our collection of audio clips from staff and students at the University sharing how scientists use and learn about the sun, the sun in art, the sun as part of history, religion and culture. We have something for everyone.
