About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

In celebration of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge 2025 theme, Story Garden, join us at Banstead library for an hour where we will take your child on an adventure of plants that will inspire their next story.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Join Kid and Pinto, two curious Seedologists on a quest to discover new specimens.

Together they follow the journey of a mysterious new seed that has appeared in the library, observing its transformation as it travels through the four seasons.

This fun, interactive adventure is inspired by nature and the world around us. Created in collaboration with children and their families in 2024, it’s an enchanting experience for all, particularly those aged 6 and under.

Don’t miss this latest work from Made By Katie Green, featuring new poetry by Anna Selby, design by Hannah Green and Edel Izquierdo and music by Dougie Evans.

The performance will be followed by a seed planting workshop.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The SEED tour from 2025-26 is being supported using public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England and also by Delight, Surrey Libraries, Telford and Wrekin Libraries, Northamptonshire Libraries, Dorset Council Libraries, Applause Rural Touring/Medway Library Service, Barnet Libraries, Hillingdon Libraries, Nottingham Inspire: Culture, Learning and Libraries and the Stepping into Stories Festival.
