Description

Seed Festival – Planting Big Ideas

An Ecology & Arts Festival at Hawkwood, Stroud.

In its third year these big ideas are now taking root, a place to dig deep and get real. It’s a festival with a strong intention, a conference in a field of dreams. We are redesigning reality, creating the blueprint for a world that thrives with nature. Hawkwood's beautiful setting with its biodynamic farm, country house, natural spring, gorgeous grounds and woodlands allow people to relax and be nourished in nature.

2017 features BBC Tribe’s Bruce Parry; Green Party Co- Leader Caroline Lucas; Soil Association’s Helen Browning Friends of the Earth CEO Craig Bennett, Eden’s Tim Smit, Ecocide Lawyer Polly Higgins; Celebrate 10 years of the Transition movement with Rob Hopkins; Futerra Co-founder Solitaire Townsend; Satish Kumar; Good Energy CEO Juliet Davenport and the Head of RSA Matthew Taylor. Plus up-and-coming ‘Millennials.’ hear voice of youth on Activism, Permaculture, Nature Connection, GMO, Soil and Money.

Family fun to engage in nature-based play with PROJECT DIRT, inviting children to unplug from the virtual world and get stuck into a real one. Loads of workshops plus performances from Rising Appalachia USA Matt Harvey, Ganda Boys, AMJ Collective, Three acres and a Cow, plus Australia’s Formidable Vegetables and much more.
