Event description

Description

Develop or improve your own crop plan and rotation and create a diverse garden to prevent pests & diseases

This workshop is aimed at beginner or more experienced gardeners who wish to develop their skills in organic, sustainable gardening techniques and want to learn more about crop rotations to grow their crops from seed.

What will you learn?

This workshop will take you through the basics of soil management and crop rotations for small areas, deal with your queries and build your confidence to grow your own food. It will involve both a theoretical and a practical session and introduce participants to key essentials, including:

- develop your own cropping plan

- develop your own rotation plan

- develop a list of continual planting throughout the year.

Part of a series of workshops at Tolhurst Organic CIC to learn to grow, cook and preserve your own food. Each month, we will explore and develop food-related skills – from planning a vegetable garden to harvesting and preserving your produce.

Price includes a home grown, vegetarian lunch and take-home a model cropping plan.

We can cater for special dietary requirements - please contact us directly at least 7 days before the workshop.

We offer GIFT VOUCHERS valid for any workshops organised by Tolhurst Organic, should you wish to give one and let the recipient choose their own date and topic.

We may be able to offer a number of SUBSIDISED PLACES for young growers and those on low income. Please enquire.
