About this Event

The importance of seed-to-sow sovereignty in the creation of Regenerative Fashion - free from the hand of Racial Capitalism.

Nishanth Chopra will share the work of his community-owned Oshadi Collective, a regenerative cotton farm and seed-to-stitch supply chain initiative, based in the village of Erode, Tamil Nadu.

Through his work, and the work of the collective; they have created an agricultural epicentre where everything from cotton for spinning to indigo for natural dyeing is grown. Rebuilding regional manufacturing systems to regenerate soil health in a way that is self-sufficient, empowering the farmers and artisans by offering them a way of working true to their own terms in their own communities. Creating a new phase for fashion that is equitable and regenerative, leaving a positive impact on both people and planet.
