Event description

Description

SEEING RED is the first West Midlands Regional Conference about Period Poverty in the UK. It is funded by the Community Fund of Staffordshire from the TAMPON TAX COMMUNITY FUND

Period Power and the New Vic have worked with a range of partners and girls and young women from local schools to develop knowledge about period poverty in the UK and the way this is impacting on the lives of their fellow students in the local area and beyond.

The conference will showcase the work of Period Power and other local charities working on the ground to end period poverty in our communities.

Keynote speeches from our partners will take place during the morning session which will end with performances from local girls and young women from six local schools.

Workshops in the afternoon will provide the opportunity for delegates to identify future action and help to create an 'END PERIOD POVERTY CHARTER' which will be created and signed by all at the end of the conference.
