At a time when we are required to live in close proximity to some and remain distant from others, the techniques we will learn will provide us with practical methods to improve our relationships. This 3 part course is designed to help us reflect on how we see others and learn how to see them in a positive light. We will use Buddha's teachings on cherishing love to increase our capacity for personal growth and development.

In the first session we will look at how the quality of our mind determines how we perceive others and understand how to apply contemplation and meditation effectively.

In the second session we will learn about the mind of self-cherishing and how this governs our intentions and actions, negatively affecting relationships.

In the third session we will learn about the mind of cherishing others and the benefits that can arise from this.

20 October - Class 3: The Mind of Cherishing Others and its Benefits

Classes last for an hour. They are suitable for complete beginners and those with more experience of meditation. You’re more than welcome to join individual sessions or attend the series as a whole.

About the classes: These online drop-in classes aim to teach effective, meditation-based solutions to everyday problems taken from the Kadampa Buddhist tradition. Everyone is welcome – these practical meditations can be practised by anyone, whether Buddhist or not.
