About this event

Science & Tech • Science

Explore the universe and see the invisible with the help of Wendy from Daresbury laboratory who will share the wonders of space as seen through the James Webb telescope. Launched on December 25, 2021, the James Webb Space Telescope is the largest and most powerful space telescope ever built. It lets scientists look back in time to see what our universe was like about 200 million years after the Big Bang and capture images of some of the first galaxies ever formed. The telescope can also observe objects in our solar system from Mars outward and peek inside dust clouds to see where new stars and planets are forming by detecting invisible light! Join us to learn more about this incredible telescope and how it’s helping us see the universe in ways we never have before. This is a family friendly event most suited to age 6+. All children aged under 9 years must be accompanied by an adult. Please book a ticket for each person attending.
