About this event

A workshop exploring how portraits help us see others more fully based upon his book ‘Beyond the Face’. Exploring the way iconographers and portrait artists have used various techniques to help us engage with the soul of another person, to see the true person behind their features.

Participants will be led in a simple three-step method with which to intentionally engage with a portrait, using examples from the National Portrait Gallery in London. No prior experience necessary.

Led by: Rev Stephen Girling Vicar of Thorpe
