About this event

Have you ever stepped into a gym and felt more overwhelmed than empowered? You’re not alone.

Modern exercise culture often tells women that health comes from pushing harder, training longer and fitting into punishing routines. But for many, especially women carrying trauma, living as parent-carers or navigating neurodivergency and burnout, gyms and high-intensity workouts can do more harm than good.

This 60-minute online workshop will explore:✨ Why our bodies were never designed for modern “exercise”✨ The hidden ways gym culture can worsen stress and trauma✨ How joyful, natural movement supports healing, regulation and energy✨ Three simple practices you can use straight away to reconnect with your body - no gym required

Led by qualified plus-size gym instructor, hypnotherapist and former immunology student Stacey Hossell-Armitage, founder of Disco Kitten and creator of the Seek Movement First campaign, this workshop invites you to reimagine fitness as gentle, human and healing.

📅 Date/Time: October 1st 2025 - 7PM💻 Where: Online via Zoom (link sent after booking)🎟️ Tickets: Free!

Come as you are. There will be an opportunity to partake in a guided, gentle group hypnosis, but participation is optional - just see how you feel on the night!
