Seeking Refuge: Emotional Intelligence Discussion
Mon 20 June 2016, 18:00 – 20:00 BST
York St John University would like to invite you to a free Emotional Intelligence Discussion for the United Nations World Refugee Day on Monday 20th June 2016.
The United Nations World Refugee Day is an opportunity for inclusion, compassion, optimism, and creating a context for people to unite instead of divide.
While the global crisis of refugees is a geopolitical issue, we all have times where we are seeking refuge from the “storms of life.” we all have the power to give refuge -- to create a place of physical and emotional safety where we can nourish one another, to create a space to support and care for fellow humans.
In honor of this day, you are invited to an emotional intelligence dialogue session called “Seeking Refuge” to practice emotional intelligence skills and discuss important questions about compassion, ethics, and how we build community.
Join this dialogue; you will get a free “Brain Talent Profile” and learn more about:
- Emotional intelligence as a toolset to help all of us in challenging times.
- How to increase empathy and mutual understanding.
- Being a changemaker to support a more just and compassionate society.
18.00 - 18.30 - registration and refreshments
18.30 - 20.00 - discussion
