Description

Essex Youth Offending Service would like to welcome you to the first national conference Seen and Heard - Transparency and resilience in the youth justice system - the involvement of young people, their families and networks in a strengths based approach within the Youth Offending Service.

This interactive conference with keynote speeches from Dr Carleen Firmin looking at Contextual Safeguarding and Norma Howes focusing on Trauma and a wide range of workshops offered in the afternoon.

You will attend a choice of 2 from the following workshops:

  • Out of court disposals
  • Young people in custody
  • Involvement of young people, their carers and their networks
  • Restorative justice and reparation
  • Education
  • Adolescent mental health
  • Vicarious trauma


Workshops will be delivered by sector professionals internal and external to Essex Youth Offending Service.

9:00am Registration and refreshments for a 9:30am start
